    Upper house to me didn’t feel like Hong Kong which is what I wanted. The decor and service didn’t feel like Hong Kong it felt like a international get away where the service and staff made the stay exceptional.

    Very luxurious in a discrete way. You don't have the feeling of staying in traditional hotell. Amazing rooms and environment. Very generous gifts. The little downside is the lack of a spa. With a hotell in this price and quality standard it is a bit surprising not to have a spa. The restaurant is beautiful and very friendly staff. I just missed the more traditional buffé part. I like to go and get juice, fruit and bread etc and look around on the offering at my own discretion. Ordering everything a la carte becomes a bit overly formal. But all this are just small personal details in an otherwise very pleasantly unique experience.

    My husband and I have traveled extensively all over the world and have been fortunate enough to stay in many wonderful hotels. Both of us agree that the Upper House is probably our favorite hotel in the world (quite honestly, part of the reason we chose to return to Hong Kong for the Rugby Sevens in 2018 was that we really wanted an excuse to stay at the Upper House again!). Not only are the rooms and other facilities at the hotel spectacular, I simply cannot say enough about the service from every individual we encountered - from the check-in to wait staff to concierge to drivers...every person was professional, friendly, cheerful, and incredibly helpful. They personalize the service so that it feels as if you are their most important and frequent guest. Whatever the Upper House is doing for hiring and training employees, they should keep right on doing it! Perfection!
