The food and service at the restaurant were of the highest professional standard as well as being extremely friendly and uniquely courteous. Absolutely 10 out of 10 for everything to do with this restaurant. Many many thanks to all the Giuseppes, starting with the restaurant manager and every single other member of staff. Front office staff were amazing and made us feel at home, especially Manula from Guest Service. Overall, one of my best hotel experiences ever.

Truly this hotel is spectacular. Our room was fantastic, with a balcony over the pool. Only the flatness of the pillows detracted. Staying at the Belmond Grand was akin to a step back in time, to a past when hotels consisted of more than a pretty room and pleasant hotel restaurant and bar. The only thing missing from the feeling of being immersed in an aristocratic 1020s holiday was the absence of an orchestra for after dinner dancing. (Probably actually happens when the season really starts). The hotel staff, to a person, were a joy. Unlike the nameless and diffident staff found in many hotels, the Belmond staff was so generous with their time that we felt we came to know many of them by the end of the week. Cheers to Francisco -- who helped us greatly with our car -- and Alfieri, whose drink suggestions in the bar were spot on. Our two weeks in Italy constituted one of our best vacations ever, and the Belmond Grand was the star.

Very beautiful hotel set in a breathtaking landscape. The service is worthy of a palace. I was slightly disappointed by the breakfast however.
