But there’s a lot more happening at the Corinthia Hotel London. There is history here, from the days the hotel used to be a favorite haunt of King Edward VII and the other crowned heads of Europe, but it’s been combined with contemporary luxury and some of the best facilities in the city. A highlight is the hotel’s flagship spa, designed over four floors, to be the Next Generation of Spa. It features (among other things) an indoor pool, an amphitheatre-style sauna, an ice fountain and no less than 17 treatment rooms, each space designed to make even the most inflexible jaws drop. The spa is also home to a Daniel Galvin Hair Salon and a Jessica Nails studio so you could easily lose a day but may we suggest taking time out for afternoon tea in The Crystal Moon Lounge? It’s a ritual as traditional as you’d expect of a hotel with the Corinthia’s heritage and it’s a lovely way to spend an afternoon to soothing piano melodies.
