Hotel Imperial

The Imperial’s maisonette suites beckon with romance on two floors. The rooms with their 60 - 75-square meter open floor plan conjure up a stylish atmosphere for very special occasions. Guests enter the suites on the hotel’s top floor over elegant, extravagantly fashioned parquet floors. The dominant colours are ochre and imperial “Schönbrunn” yellow that lend the rooms a light and friendly air.

Winding wooden stairs lead from the sleeping area and spacious bathroom up to the cosy living room and library on the gallery level. Guests feel immediately at home in this warm and comfortable atmosphere. Nestling cosily in the king-sized bed beneath an opulent baldachin heavenly dreams are certain.

The hotel’s location directly across the street from the Musikverein is recalled not only by the lyre that adorn the gallery’s banisters: on warm summer evenings the breeze carries the sounds of world-famous orchestras through the open balcony doors into the suite. A sound system and selection of CDs let guests decide whether Jansons, Abbado or Welser-Möst is to wield the conductor’s baton.

Admire the view from the private terrace with those who mean the most to you and a glass of Champagne served by your private butler— out over the city and the Baroque cupola of the nearby church of St. Charles Borromeo. Maisonette Suites are seventh heaven. Indeed, where else can one look down upon the angels—at least those that adorn the Musikverein’s roof.
