The Connaught

Accessed through solid walnut double doors with ebony and nickel detailing, these extremely spacious suites, overlook Adams Row and are quietly and privately situated at the rear of the hotel. Whilst they do not connect directly to other bedrooms, both suites boast the largest drawing rooms of all in the hotel.

Both suites are beautifully furnished with an impressive bookcase sitting opposite a period chimney piece, a pair of gently curved sofas centred on the 30 foot long drawing room, an elegant and well-stocked Chinoiserie cocktail cabinet, ebony and leather desk in the Drawing Room, antique writing table and separate dressing table in the bedrooms, original cedar lined antique wardrobes and original artwork. They are equipped with combination CD and DVD players as well as MP3 ports, 42” Plasma screen TV in the Drawing Room, 32" Plasma screen TV in the bedrooms, 17” LCD televisions in the bathrooms.

The bathroom features separate walk-in shower and a separate enclosure for WC and bidet.

Named after the famous abstract artist Graham Sutherland, who lived at the hotel for 6 years, one of these two beautiful suites has a 1909 Steinway grand piano in the bowed window of the drawing room.
The second suite has an eight seat oval dining table in the bowed window of the drawing room, which makes it the perfect choice for families or guests who wish to entertain in the privacy of their suite.
