Ever since Mitsukoshi opened a fabric shop here more than 300 years ago, the stories of Nihonbashi and the kimono have been intertwined. The unique ‘Isegata’, a pattern for Yukata, mounted on the wall is a collector’s piece and master artisans were commissioned to create many original fabrics for these rooms expressing the artistic and cultural traditions of Japan.
