The hotel at a glance
Ah Paris! city of lights, of romance and fashion; turning girlfriends into wives and cynics into dreamers. There is magic here,it springs from the Eiffel tower, slips through l’Arche de Triomphe, darts in between the shops and cafes and enters the majestic doors, of the Four Season George V.
The George V is as much a part of Paris as its world famous icons. However, it’s one that you can get intimate with. The lounge’s vast expanse of creamy beige is speckled with splashes of color from the floral arrangements that will have you calling this place home within minutes.Rockstar designer Jeff Leatham is the hotel’s artistic director and his touch adds contemporary flair to the hotel’s soul and removes nothing from its classic prestige.Indeed, the hotel’s rooms would not look out of place in Le Louvre or Versailles with their airy Louis XVI styling and if you really want to indulge; we recommend getting a room with a private terrace. Take a seat, order a bottle of wine from the cellar and gaze upon Paris by night from one of the best viewing spots in town, all from the comfort of your room.
When you want your toes to curl and knots relaxed, head to the spa, accessible right off the elevator. The scent of magnolia envelopes the whole room and sets the tone for the session of pampering ahead. The treatment here is one of the best in Paris and the Spa’s pristine look will have you reluctant to touch anything until you emerge from the whirlpools and saunas, rejuvenated and relaxed.
When the time comes for some fine dining, Le Cinq is a three Michelin star restaurant that has got Paris Buzzing with its delicious meals and impeccable service. The restaurant is only the tip of the iceberg for the French epicure as the Four Season’s offers a multitude of bars and dining options but we were particularly impressed by the art and decor of “La Galerie” and the impressive list of 50,000 wines in the hotel’s wine cellar.
The George V offers many tempting arguments for the discerning traveller to stay within its soft sheets and luxurious walls. Fall for its charms, and we guarantee that you will be walking through its gilded doors for more than one visit.
