Chewton Glen is set in 130 acres of exquisitely landscaped parkland, gardens and woodland. Head Gardener Darren Venables and his team of dedicated gardeners work hard to create seasonal displays and beautiful vistas for guests to enjoy year-around. There are many delightful walking and jogging trails within the grounds. The grounds also contain the hotel's 9 hole par 3 golf course, a practice range, two indoor and two outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, a croquet lawn and putting green. Further afield guests can enjoy walks down to the beach (20-minutes through the hotel grounds) and along the picturesque Hampshire coastline. The hotel has its own 900+ yard, 9-hole, par 3 golf course which is open from 10.00am every day, weather permitting. In addition there is a golf practice area. It is a beautifully maintained course, with well thought out holes, including some challenging water hazards to navigate over, which you will enjoy playing. Complimentary Half sets of gentlemen's and ladies clubs can be hired from reception and for hotel residents. The boutique stocks a selection of golfing accessories, clothing and equipment. An adult must accompany children under the age of 16.
The New Forest in Hampshire is recognised as one of the most popular places for exploring on a bike in the UK. There are many cycle routes to choose from including cycling trails around the New Forest, stopping at picturesque villages such as Burley, to riding along the coastal path to Lymington.
